Polyethylene compound (PE compound) is produced by blending base polyethylene (LDPE, LLDPE, or HDPE) with additives such as mineral fillers, color masterbatches, antioxidants, UV stabilizers, and processing aids, in order to tailor its physical and mechanical properties as well as its durability to the intended end use. These materials are typically supplied in pellet form and are used in processes such as injection molding, extrusion, and blow molding. Appropriate flexibility, high chemical resistance, electrical insulation properties, and cost-effectiveness have made polyethylene compounds widely used in industries including packaging, pipe and fitting manufacturing, cables and wires, industrial components, and consumer products.
